I have followed every guide I can find and made sure I was following the steps correctly but if I put the 60 FPS mod in the mod directory for Xenoblade DE it only runs at 30 fps. My monitor is a 144 FPS monitor.
I have done the following trying to get it to work:
- Unlocked the framerate by hitting CTRL+U
- Disabled vsync both in apps and in the Nvidia control panel
- Disabled Gsync
- Tried Vulkan and Open GL
- Tried both Yuzu and Ryujinx
Anyone have any idea how to fix this?
Specs:
Intel 11600k
32 GB RAM
Nvidia RTX 3080
Win 11

Not sure but sometimes these mods are made for certain patches of the game. Is the game up to date or does the mod require a specific version?

Play DE on Ryujinx.
Make sure you right clicked the game opened mod directory and copied the whole folder into: your mod directory for XC DE should have a folder called 60FPS.
Also make sure the mod if for whatever version of the game you have as in for what update was installed.

Check in Nvidia control panel, maybe you are using a fixed framerate by accident?

I have done all of that.

No fixed frame rate enabled.

Your are probably using an old version of the mod in a recent version of the game or viceversa.

1.0.0 or 1.1 Mod? proper version? where are you placing the mod?

I right click the game, go to the mod directory. Paste the whole 60 fps folder in there. I have only tried the 1.1 mod since I have the 1.1 update installed for Xenoblade.

Isn't it next to impossible to get this to run at a locked 60fps with the mod even on good hardware?
I tried with my 3080ti card and i8700k processor and the framerate was fluctuating between 30-45fps making it a juddery mess so i stuck it back to 30fps

8700k is old tho. the new Intel 12 series is 60% faster than your CPU for single-thread. So it should get 50-70 FPS. Judder would be significantly reduced as a result.

For some reason I never got any of the high-res mods for Xeno 2 working, at least not with severe graphics errors. And Xeno 3 doesn't even show up for me in Yuzu, despite re-dumping my product keys. It's there in Ryujinx though, very strange.

I just tried my version in Yuzu and the 60FPS still works from when I last played it, I even have a similar setup to you as far as GPU and monitor goes.
You're using a 1.1 mod? On the Yuzu mods page there only seems to be a 60FPS mod that works with Xenoblade version 1.0.0 or 1.1.2, just checked my version and I've got the 1.1.2 update applied.

FYI the issue was I was on version 1.1 and not 1.2. Once I upgraded the 60 FPS mod worked. Thanks!

Are you allowed to post pics? If so I'd like to see one at high res if you can!
