Mopar® has offered a customized version of a Dodge or Ram Brand vehicle almost every year since the Mopar ’10 Challenger was introduced back in 2010. Since then, the Challenger has been “Moparized” four times, while the Charger has been uniquely branded once, but for the 2023 model year, both of the Dodge muscle cars are included in the Mopar-branded vehicle program.

The Mopar ’23 Challenger and Charger are both based on the R/T Scat Pack Widebody trim level, featuring the 392-cubic inch HEMI® engine that delivers 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. In the Mopar ’23 Challenger, the 6-speed manual transmission is standard, but the 8-speed automatic is optional in the Challenger while being standard in the Mopar ’23 Charger. All models come with the SRT®-tuned Widebody competition suspension system with Bilstein three-mode adaptive dampers and the high-performance Brembo brakes, with 6-piston calipers up front and 4-piston calipers out back.

“Our iconic two-door and four-door muscle cars from Dodge are perfect vehicles to continue our annual tradition of offering exclusive, performance-oriented, low-volume packages of quality-tested, factory-backed performance parts and accessories from the Mopar Custom Shop,” said Mike Koval, head of Mopar North America. “With striking matte black and Mopar Blue accents, both Mopar ’23 models will turn heads and be sought after by performance enthusiasts and collectors alike.”

As is always the case with the Mopar-branded vehicles, the Mopar ’23 Challenger and Charger will be very limited production. There will be 200 Mopar ’23 Challengers and 200 Mopar ’23 Chargers built for the United States, while the Canadian market will get 20 of each, for a total of 440 units. The MSRP package price for the Mopar ’23 is $3,995 on top of the price of the Challenger or Charger R/T Scat Pack, and here is a look at what comes with the package.

Like all Mopar-branded vehicles, the Mopar ’23 Challenger and Charger showcase the black-and-blue livery of the company’s legendary performance parts line. All of these cars will be painted Pitch Black with a thick, matte black stripe running along the center of the hood, roof and trunk lid. That matte black center stripe is trimmed on both sides in Mopar Blue, with matching blue on the Brembo brake calipers at all four corners. Those unique, blue brake calipers are tucked behind Black Carbon forged wheels that measure 20×11 inches, wrapped in Pirelli P Zero 305/35ZR20 summer performance tires and fitted with locking lug nuts and Mopar valve stem caps.

One of the highlights of this package is a new carbon fiber rear spoiler that is being introduced exclusively on the Mopar ’23 Challenger and Charger, and the exterior upgrades are rounded out with a Mopar badge on the grille and black exhaust tips.

Inside, the Mopar ’23 Challenger and Charger feature a serialized instrument panel badge, the Alpine Audio Group, the Carbon Suede Interior Package, the Mopar Interior Appearance Group and the Plus Package. The Mopar Interior Appearance Group adds bright door sills, premium Mopar-branded floor mats and trunk mats, while the Plus Package adds Scat Pack logos on the Alcantara/Nappa leather front seats, a flat-bottom heated steering wheel, a power tilt/telescoping steering column, heated/ventilated front seats, a premium stitched dashboard and bright pedals.

Every person who buys a new Mopar ’23 Challenger or Charger will also get an owner’s kit that comes with a personalized metal certificate of authenticity with serialized vehicle-build number and artwork of the vehicle from the Mopar Design Team.

The Mopar ’23 Challenger and Charger allocations will be sent to dealers by the end of July and when those numbers are made official, you will be able to use the Horsepower Locator to find one of these unique black-and-blue muscle cars. Production is expected to begin in September, with the first units reaching dealerships in October.

Dodge Challenger and Charger Get the Mopar® Touch for 2023 (6)

The Mopar ’23 Challenger and Charger mark the 13th year of uniquely branded vehicles, with one vehicle offered every year except for 2020. 2023 is the first model year with two Moparized vehicles, making them the 13th and 14th vehicles in the program, following the Mopar ’10 Dodge Challenger, the Mopar ’11 Dodge Charger, the Mopar ’12 Chrysler 300, the Mopar ’13 Dodge Dart, the Mopar ’14 Dodge Challenger, the Mopar ’15 Dodge Charger R/T, the Mopar ’16 Ram Rebel, the Mopar ’17 Dodge Challenger, the Mopar ’18 Dodge Durango, the Mopar ’19 Dodge Challenger, the Mopar ’21 Ram 1500 and the Mopar ’22 Durango.

Is there anyway to find out which numbered vehicles stayed in the US and which went to Canada? For example did 1-200 stay in the US and 201-220 go to Canada. Or are all vehicles random and based on build and ship? Appreciate any assistance.
