FAQs

How do you use a Hoover Power Scrub Carpet Cleaner? ›

Just fill the water compartment with hot tap water, fill the Soap compartment with Cleaning Solution. Set knob on front of it to "Wash". Replace tank by tilting it back in. There is a step-button on the left to release the hinge, and a step-button on the right to operate Power On/Off (like a standard upright vac).

What is the difference between rinse and Wash on Hoover Power Scrub? ›

"Wash" allows the water to mix with the cleaning solution; "Rinse" stops the mixing and allows only water to be sprayed.

How much solution do you put in the Hoover Power Scrub? ›

I emailed Hoover. Rochelle at customer service answered "All our solutions are concentrated solutions. They should be diluted. Usually depending on the model of the machine use 2-3 oz in the solution tank and then fill the rest with water." So take your pick... the lable or Hoover customer service.

Why won't the brushes spin on my Hoover carpet cleaner? ›

Should the brush not rotate freely there may be debris tangled around the ends of the brush, carefully remove any obstructions or replace the brush with a new one. We recommend that you fit a new belt and brush once per year to keep your Reactive vacuum working efficiently.

Do I use hot or cold water in my Hoover carpet cleaner? ›

We recommend using warm water when possible, but either hot or cold water can be used.

Why is my Hoover not picking up water? ›

If the shampooer is not picking up water, you may have to rinse out the various parts with water before continuing. Try to rinse out the water tank, including the foam filter, and also rinse out the nozzle as it may have clogs in it. Make sure the circular hose tool connection door on the nozzle is closed as well.

Why is my Hoover shampooer not putting out water? ›

Dirty brushes or filters may also be the culprit, hindering proper water flow. Additionally, examine the pump for signs of damage or wear, as a malfunctioning pump can impede water pressure. A clogged nozzle or a broken or kinked hose could also prevent water from spraying effectively.

Why is my carpet shampooer not picking up water? ›

If your carpet cleaner is not spraying or picking up water, there are a few things to check. Ensure the filter is clean and dry before placing it back in the machine. If water leaks, remove the tanks and fill them with hot tap water. Hold them over the sink with the cap down and inspect for any leaks in the tank.

Are you supposed to rinse carpet after shampooing? ›

I do like to tell people that it's not a bad idea to rinse the carpet they've just cleaned with hot tap water. It's especially important and effective on extra dirty carpets, and it's pretty easy to do.

How many gallons of water does Hoover Power Scrub hold? ›

A: The tank holds a gallon of water and there is a solution tank you fill up to the max fill line it will mix the solution automatically I would use a concentrate and no need to dilute it. Helpful? Thank you for your feedback!

How long does it take for Hoover power scrub to dry? ›

Quick Clean Mode: Your carpets will dry in less than 45 minutes! Deep Clean Mode: Lifts and removes deep dirt and stains. Wash/Rinse Mode: To remove any solution residue.

Deep Cleaning Made Easy

The PowerScrub Deluxe Carpet Cleaner is everything you need to get an effective deep clean on your carpets, rugs and upholstery. SpinScrub Brushes do the hard work of scrubbing out tough stains, while HeatForce Technology and the Dual V nozzle work together to deliver a fast, even dry.

What solution to use with Hoover Power Scrub Deluxe? ›

A: Although Hoover of course recommend their own detergent, we are using a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water, with a few drops of essential oil (tea tree oil) in it to improve the fragrance. This has worked well for us and is very inexpensive.
