Music Go Round is committed to providing excellent customer service and getting your purchased musical instruments and gear delivered to you quickly, affordably, and in perfect condition. This Shipping Policy outlines key information about our shipping methods, delivery times, costs, restrictions, and other important details to be aware of when buying from our website. Please read through this policy carefully before placing an order.

Shipping Methods

Music Go Round offers a variety of domestic and international shipping options to fit your needs and budget.

Domestic Shipping (U.S.)

For customers located within the contiguous United States, we provide the following shipping methods:

Ground Shipping: Our standard domestic shipping method, delivered by major carriers like UPS, FedEx or USPS. Transit times range from 2-7 business days based on your location. This is our most affordable shipping option for lighter, smaller packages.

2-Day Shipping: Your order arrives within 2 business days after processing and pickup by the shipping carrier. This expedited option has an additional cost but gets your gear to you faster.

Overnight Shipping: As the name implies, your order will be delivered the next business day after processing if you order early enough in the day. Overnight shipping has the highest cost but is great when you need your items urgently.

Free Shipping: We offer free ground shipping on all orders over $99 to the 48 contiguous United States. This excludes oversized items which incur additional charges (see Oversized Items section).

In-Store Pickup: You can avoid shipping fees altogether by selecting in-store pickup when available. Simply select a Music Go Round store location for pickup when checking out online, and you’ll get an email notification when your order is processed and ready. Bring the confirmation email and a photo ID to retrieve your purchase.

International Shipping

We ship instruments and gear to over 75 international countries using major global carriers. Transit times vary significantly but can range from 4-10+ business days on average, depending on customs processes in your destination country.

International customers are responsible for any applicable import taxes, duties or fees from their customs agency. We have no control over these additional costs. Please check with your local customs office to determine costs prior to ordering from us.

Shipping Carrier Selection

Music Go Round leverages agreements with top shipping carriers in order to pass on discounted shipping rates to you whenever possible. This means we may use UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS or other carriers depending on the type of item, destination address and shipping method selected.

We do our best to get you affordable rates, but you acknowledge that actual shipping costs can fluctuate outside of our control. Factors like fuel prices and seasonal demand can impact carrier pricing.

Delivery Times

Delivery timeframes mentioned on our website and during checkout account for order processing time plus in-transit delivery to the destination. We fulfill orders Monday through Friday, so processing time may take 1-2 business days before handing off to the shipping carrier.

Here are the typical delivery windows to expect for our domestic shipping services:

  • Ground Shipping:5-7 total business days
  • 2-Day Shipping:2-4 total business days
  • Overnight Shipping:1-2 total business days
  • In-Store Pickup:Same day if ordered before 2 pm local pickup time

We always recommend ordering in advance when you need items by a specific date, such as for a performance or gift giving. Leave some buffer room in case of backorders or shipping delays beyond our control.

During peak holiday seasons in November and December, all delivery providers experience much higher shipping volumes that can cause transit delays across the board. Please order early!

For international delivery time estimates, just contact our Customer Service team for assistance. Global delivery is impacted by customs and other freight processes so delays are common. We wish we could guarantee firm dates but too many factors are out of our hands.

Order Tracking

Once your order ships out, you will receive an email and text notification with carrier tracking information. You can check your shipment’s progress anytime by:

  • Entering the tracking number on the shipping carrier’s website
  • Clicking the link provided in your shipping confirmation notification
  • Logging into your Music Go Round account and viewing order status
  • Contacting Customer Service for assistance

If your order does not show any tracking updates within 2 business days, please reach out to us right away so we can investigate.

Shipping Restrictions

Music Go Round cannot ship everywhere, and certain products have special requirements or restrictions to be aware of:

Banned Countries: Due to economic sanctions and trade embargoes, we cannot ship to Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan or Syria. Other countries may be temporarily banned if international tensions or conflicts arise. Check with Customer Service if you are uncertain.

Alaska & Hawaii: We can ship smaller items via Ground method, but most oversized items require expensive freight shipping which the customer must pay. detain

PO Boxes: Any PO box shipment requires Ground shipping only. FedEx, UPS and other carriers do not deliver to PO boxes.

APO/FPO Boxes: We gladly ship to military addresses but are subject to unique shipping regulations. Delivery times can also be highly unpredictable. Please contact us if you plan to ship instruments to base locations overseas.

Oversized Items: Extra large and heavy gear like drum kits, keyboards, guitar amp stacks, etc. must go by specialized freight carriers. These items incur added shipping fees that customers are responsible for. We will reach out if your order contains oversized items needing freight shipping.

Order Changes & Cancellations

If you need to update or cancel your order for any reason, please contact us immediately so we may attempt to assist you. However, order changes or cancellations are not guaranteed possible in all scenarios:

  • If your order has already been packed and provided to the shipping carrier, changes cannot be made.
  • If you cancel an order that has entered processing or fulfillment stages, you will be responsible for return shipping costs to our facility. Refunds will be reduced accordingly.
  • Custom-built or personalized items may incur full production costs or cancellation fees if order is cancelled after processing begins.

Lost or Damaged Shipments

Music Go Round takes precautions to pack and ship your order safely and securely to its destination. However, unforeseen problems can occur during transit by the shipping carrier. Here is key information on resolving lost or damaged shipments:

Inspect Package Upon Arrival: When receiving your delivery, inspect the external packaging for any noticeable damage before signing and accepting. Photograph any impacts, crushing, water exposure or other box damage for future reference. Also take photos of damaged gear items themselves too.

Note Damage on Carrier Receipt: If you discover shipping damage when unpacking, make sure to note any damage in writing on the carrier’s delivery receipt before the driver leaves. This creates critical documentation should you need to file an insurance claim later for reimbursem*nt.

Contact Customer Service: Notify the Music Go Round Customer Service team right away if you have received a damaged order or if an order does not arrive by the maximum estimated delivery date. The quicker you report shipping problems to us, the faster we can resolve it.

Depending on circ*mstances, we will either arrange replacements for undelivered or damaged items, or assist you with insurance provider claims. Each carrier has different damage claim procedures that must be followed. Our team is well-versed in the protocols to get you a satisfactory resolution.

Customer Responsibilities

While Music Go Round aims to deliver a seamless shipping experience, customers do have certain responsibilities of their own when ordering online:

  • Accurate Shipping Address:Providing correct name, street address, apartment/unit number, city, state and ZIP is essential for successful delivery. Failure to include all required elements can result in lost packages.
  • Secure Delivery Location:It is your responsibility to provide a shipping address where someone will be available to receive and secure the package safely. Leaving instruments outside for prolonged periods greatly increases risks of weather damage or theft.
  • Insurance Claims Participation:If pursuing shipping damage reimbursem*nt from our insurance providers, you must save all evidence of damage and participate in claim procedures when requested. We cannot guarantee favorable outcomes if customers are nonresponsive to the carrier claim process.
  • Import Duty Payments:All applicable import taxes, customs duties and clearance fees for international orders are solely the customer’s obligation to pay upon delivery. Music Go Round has no control or responsibility over extra destination country costs.
  • Return Shipping for Exchanges/Refunds:Customers are responsible for arranging and paying for return shipping when sending back items for refund or exchange. See Returns & Exchanges policy for full details. Exceptions may be made if damage claim is approved.
