Save Time with a fully built car! The Red Thunderbolt is a super fast pre-built pinewood derby car designed to meet all BSA rules. It is pre-weighted, painted, track tested, and supplied with our BSA precision lathed Speed Wheels and BSA polished axles.

It has these features:
- Completely pre-built car, track tested and ready to race
- Pre-weighted to just under 5.0 oz, so you can add decals
- Precision weighted with optimal center of gravity, to maximize inertia and speed to the finish line
- Drilled axle slots in pinewood derby wood block, to conform with any rules, while tracking perfectly straight
- High gloss red paint, with a clear gloss sealer
- Official BSA wheels precision "lightly" lathed for optimal performance
- Official BSA polished axles, with "extra" polishing for high speed
- Axles are inserted into the axle slots so this car is a standard wheel base
- All four wheels touch the track, but we drill an optional raised wheel axle hole. If your rules allow, raise one wheel to make your car faster!
- Optimal wheel gap spacing to reduce wobble and friction
- Designed to conform to BSA Cub Scout rules (read your rules and ask your race manager if you have questions!)
- All parts made from the Official Cub Scout BSA kit: BSA block, BSA wheels, BSA axles. This car is designed to meet BSA basic rules, but always read your particular race rules!
- Completely assembled and ready to race

Not too Fast
I have previously purchased the orange flame car and was extremely pleased with the car. Purchased this red car this year and it only came in first in ONE race!! Will not buy the red car again!! Thanks.

Very Fast
First year with my 7 year old son racing in the pinewood derby. His car was BY FAR the fastest car in the entire den. Two races eclipsed 228mph and his final race was over 230mph! Only reason he didn't win was because on his third race his car jumped off the track because of a bump and he came in last. Regardless of his bad luck he was so incredibly excited to race and he knew his car was the best. I would highly recommend this car to anyone looking for a fast car and doesn't have the time to build it themselves.

Excellent car. We were told 7 days before the Pack race of the Pine Wood derby. With my work schedule there was time to build one so I decided to try out this companies product. My son won all but one race and that was because I made him turn the car around hoping that he would lose at least once and he almost won the race backwards. I would recommend this product if you do not have the time or resources to make one yourself.

Fast As Lightning
The sleek design was impeccable. It not only looked fast, but it was extremely fast! The aerodynamic design, and proper weight placement as well as the precision wheel and axle placement, made this car a force to be reckoned with, and other dads could not believe how fast it was running on the track! My son won every single race, and won the overall pack pinewood derby, and is now going to district in a couple of weeks. The smiles and fist pumps my son and I shared as he beat every car was priceless! Thank you for designing and building an awesome car!

Red Pinewood Derby Car
The car ran great! My son got first place in his den and 1st place in grand championship. Now he is moving on to Regional Championship. His car's top speed was 196 mph. Thank you, I could not put a price to see the look on my son's face after winning. Thank you very much!

Pinewood derby car red thunderbolt
This is the first pinewood derby races that I have competed with my son. I work a lots of hours and did not have time to put into building a car from scratch. I bought the completed Red Thunderbolt. It was better than anything I could have hoped for, the car was super fast out of the box. The look on my sons face when he won race after race was priceless. He raced in his district and never lost a race. He raced in the states and again he never lost a race, so far two first place trophies. Thank you so much for making a great car.

Solid car
Red Thunderbolt made it to the final round against 36 other cars. The car won 1 out of 4 races so we took 2nd place. We were happy with that. I heard word that the other car had some axils that kept the wheels away from the car's body so I don't know if that made the difference or not. My son had a great time so all was good. Of the 36 cars that were racing, we took first place all but one round. We even beat the 1st place car in an earlier round so out of 5 races against the car that took first, we beat it twice. Not bad.
